We Serve Both in-State and Out-of-State Funeral homes
We understand the challenges and frustrations that come with arranging transportation and care for your clients from afar. That’s why we’re here—to provide seamless support and ensure your needs are met with the utmost professionalism and care. Let us be your trusted partner in delivering the highest standard of service to your clients.
FIRST CALL CARE
When family or agency in need calls, a funeral home’s response time is of the essence. Due to the unpredictable nature of our profession, funeral homes must have staff available 24/7 every single day or run the risk of losing valuable business opportunities.
CCU has professional care givers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year who can be dispatched within minutes to respond to your calls. Let us alleviate your stress concerning overtime pay, missed shifts due to late night calls, and juggling staffing schedules.
CCU is a distributor of Universal Identification System bands (UIS), and at no addition cost to you, we include a UIS band with every first call. By including this band, you will have an assurance and a peace of mind in always knowing the location and identity of the decedent. The use of a UIS band also prevents any possible misidentification of decedents, which may be irreversible.
CONVEYANCE AND SHELTERING CARE
CCU oversees a fleet of vehicles to provide conveyance within a 500-mile radius of our facility. Our professional care givers obey all posted speed limits and traffic regulations to ensure the safe transportation of your decedents. We carry a $3,000,000.00 umbrella insurance policy to protect you while using our services. That is Peace of Mind!
CCU has the largest private temperature-controlled sheltering location in the state. We have three areas at our location to assist you in sheltering the decedent and to help preserve them more fully for a direct cremation or with a funeral and viewing.
EMBALMING CARE
Timely embalming is critical to a decedent to help preserve their features for the family to remember. The more quickly an embalming is performed the more likely the family will be pleased with the look of their loved one for viewing. At CCU, we embalm the decedent promptly upon arrival at our facility. We have Utah licensed funeral directors on call to perform embalming procedures 24 hours a day.
RECONSTRUCTION CARE
Reconstruction is a personal decision that can be requested by your funeral home or the family. Our licensed care givers have been trained on reconstruction techniques to deliver the best possible results to the families you serve. Our managing care giver, Matthew Hoyle, has completed the Vernie Fountain National Academy Certified Training of Advanced Post Mortem Reconstructive Surgery.
CREMATION CARE
Traditionally, burial services have been the life-blood of Funeral Homes but cremation services are gaining in popularity. Crematories require special permits, dedicated space, and a significant cost of ownership, which many funeral homes find too restrictive. CCU offers different ways to address these new and growing needs in our State. CCU owns an On-site crematory that is available for operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is operated by licensed funeral directors. Our crematory is also environmentally friendly; we have offsite monitoring provided by the crematory manufacturer to ensure the most economical use of natural gas, which produces minimal exhaust emissions. We also have a comfortable witness/viewing room that may be reserved by your funeral home for one of your funeral directors or one of our licensed funeral directors to represent you at a small witnessing service.
